Active Directory Migrations: October project updates

Campus Active Directory
The Active Directory (AD) Migrations Team has been working diligently to help departments migrate into Campus Active Directory (CAD). Here are some recent updates and milestones, plus a look ahead at what’s on the horizon.

Recent progress

  • The School of Human Ecology and the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences have decommissioned their domain controller. 2 more departments will decommission their domains by the end of November.
  • Quisitive began onboarding the Wisconsin Energy Institute. They will also start working with the School of Education a month earlier than scheduled.
  • The CAD Team updated the Active Directory Project dashboard layout and automation and socialized them with stakeholders.

What’s ahead

  • The Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pathology departments plan to begin test migrations in November, guided by the CAD Team.
  • The CAD Team will work with DoIT Departmental Support to migrate former Administrative Information Management Services clients, starting with the Office of Strategic Consulting on November 20.
