Active Directory Migrations: November project updates

The Active Directory (AD) Migrations Team has been working diligently to help departments migrate into Campus Active Directory (CAD). Here are some recent updates and milestones, plus a look ahead at what’s on the horizon.
Recent progress
- The Population Health Sciences Health Innovation Program decommissioned its domain controller. The Geography Department is scheduled to decommission its domain controller by the end of December.
- Quisitive began onboarding the Wisconsin Energy Institute. Pre-migration activities are in full swing and are expected to go through 2025.
- The CAD Team worked with DoIT Departmental Support to migrate a former Administrative Information Management Services client: the Office of Strategic Consulting.
What’s ahead
- The Obstetrics & Gynecology Department will migrate all users by the end of January 2025, with a decommission targeted for February 2025.
- The Pathology Department is on track to do test migrations by the end of December, guided by the CAD Team.
- In early 2025, the CAD Team will work with DoIT Departmental Support to migrate a former Administrative Information Management Services client: Administration Innovation and Planning.
