Active Directory Migrations: January project updates

Campus Active Directory
The Active Directory (AD) Migrations Team has been working diligently to help departments migrate into Campus Active Directory (CAD). Here are some recent updates and milestones, plus a look ahead at what’s on the horizon.

Recent progress

  • The Department of Medicine has kicked off its AD migration; pre-migration activities are underway.
  • On January 28, the CAD Team worked with DoIT Departmental Support to migrate Administration Innovation and Planning, which was previously part of Administrative Information Management Services. The migration was a success.
  • Pam Jones, the Quisitive project manager, has been onboarded for CAD-guided migrations. Tiffany will maintain the AD Migrations Program, but Pam will handle most day-to-day project management needs moving forward.

What’s ahead

  • The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department is almost done migrating all its end users. It is continuing toward its decommissioning goals by the end of February 2025.
  • The Pathology Department, guided by the CAD Team, has pushed out the completion date with a new target of March 2025.
  • An executive debrief presentation is scheduled for February 27 with the chief information officer and other DoIT leadership to review the program updates and answer any questions.
