Active Directory Migrations: August project updates

The Active Directory (AD) Migrations team has been working diligently to help departments migrate into Campus Active Directory. Here are some recent updates and milestones, plus a look ahead at what’s on the horizon for the project.
Recent progress
- Quisitive guided migrations for the School of Human Ecology, Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, and Department of Psychology are ahead of schedule. All anticipate finishing sometime in September or earlier.
- Quisitive began early onboarding for the Population Health Sciences Health Innovation Program in the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH).
- Implemented the Active Directory domain decommission process. The process documentation guides departments in decommissioning their old Active Directory after completing their migration. We plan to continue to refine the process and recommendations over the next few months by collaborating with recently completed departments.
What’s ahead
- The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology (ObGyn) and the Department of Pathology aim to begin their migration in mid-September or October, guided by the DoIT Campus Active Directory team.
- Project leadership and SMPH leadership will map out migration sequencing for another batch of departments through 2025.
