Active Directory Migrations: April project updates

The Active Directory Migrations team has been working diligently with departments that want to migrate into Campus Active Directory (CAD). Here are some recent updates and milestones, plus a look ahead at what’s on the horizon for the project.
Recent progress
- Finalized a 12-to-18-month contract with Quisitive, a consulting firm with extensive AD migration expertise, to expedite our AD consolidation efforts. Quisitive will provide:
- User and device migration support for 11 departments
- Advisory services for self-migrating departments
- Additional support for migrating applications or services
- Quisitive began working with staff at the School of Human Ecology on their AD migration.
- Created an AD Migration slide template for departments to use in stakeholder presentations about the benefits of AD migration.
- Published a new NetIDs for Research Collaborators KnowldegeBase article, which includes instructions for setting up new NetIDs for research collaborators and guidance for providing NetID access to important security services such as Duo MFA and VPN.
What’s ahead
- Quisitive will begin migration support for 2 more departments: Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences & Psychology.
