Active Directory Migrations: November project updates

Campus Active Directory
The Active Directory (AD) Migrations Team has been working diligently to help departments migrate into Campus Active Directory (CAD). Here are some recent updates and milestones, plus a look ahead at what’s on the horizon.

Recent progress

  • The Population Health Sciences Health Innovation Program decommissioned its domain controller. The Geography Department is scheduled to decommission its domain controller by the end of December.
  • Quisitive began onboarding the Wisconsin Energy Institute. Pre-migration activities are in full swing and are expected to go through 2025.
  • The CAD Team worked with DoIT Departmental Support to migrate a former Administrative Information Management Services client: the Office of Strategic Consulting.

What’s ahead

  • The Obstetrics & Gynecology Department will migrate all users by the end of January 2025, with a decommission targeted for February 2025.
  • The Pathology Department is on track to do test migrations by the end of December,  guided by the CAD Team.
  • In early 2025, the CAD Team will work with DoIT Departmental Support to migrate a former Administrative Information Management Services client: Administration Innovation and Planning.
