Learning how to be more cyber secure is an important part of keeping data, privacy and IT systems protected and safe. As a student at UW–‍Madison, it is important to be aware of best practices regarding information security and your role in protecting the university’s data, as well as your own. We recommend taking the 2024 Cybersecurity Awareness Training to better understand cybersecurity risks and how to guard against them. Register for the Cybersecurity Awareness Training today You are also encouraged to read the policy on Acceptable use of Information Technology resources as it explains what an IT resource is, what you (as a student) are authorized to do with them and what you are not authorized to do.
